Katy Perry Bashes Russell Brand In New Revenge Song At Grammys

Take that, Russell Brand!

A fiery Katy Perry took the stage at Sunday’s Grammy Awards in L.A. and, instead of performing one of her many well-known hits, she used the opportunity to debut a new song, “Part of Me” — a ditty not-so-subtly aimed at her soon-to-be ex Brand, 36, who blindsided her last December by filing for divorce after 14 months of marriage.

Dressed in a skintight bodysuit, wearing a cropped, punk-blue wig, a ticked-off Perry, 27, prowled across the stage as she sang lyrics like “You chewed me up and spit me out/Like I was poison in your mouth/You took my light, you drained me down…You ripped me off, your love was cheap.”

Last week, Perry and British comic Brand signed papers to finalize their divorce in June; despite no prenup, Brand did not request spousal support or a share of Perry’s massive earnings. Perry signed her documents with a smiley face.

Still, an edgy Perry even tweaked the song’s lyrics to make the song even more pointed at Brand. One line originally read “You can keep the dog from me, I never liked him anyway.” For Sunday’s show, Perry sang “Keep your diamond ring/In fact, you can keep everything…Except for me.”

Katy Perry, Russell Brand Reach Divorce Settlement

Katy Perry and Russell Brand have signed off on a divorce settlement agreement without fanfare, but with plenty of happy faces and hearts.

According to court documents dated February 7, Perry and Brand have “entered into a comprehensive written settlement of all issues,” including how they’ll separate their property and assets.

Brand, 36, initiated their split on December 30 by filing for divorce in California, citing irreconcilable differences. Court papers granting the couple their divorce, which will be official on July 14, notes that at some point the two separated, but doesn’t specify a date.

The papers also show that Perry, 27, sought to take away the court’s ability to give Brand spousal support, as their “comprehensive written settlement” covers that ground, as well.

People magazine cites an anonymous source who claims that when the two married in India in October of 2010, they didn’t sign a prenuptial agreement. Although the comedian would reportedly be entitled to half of what pop star Perry earned during their marriage, it’s been said that Brand isn’t interested in taking any money from his ex.

Perry, who signed her court documents with her name, a happy face and a heart, also requested that her maiden name, Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson, be legally restored.

Katy Perry and Russell Brand Having Problems, Spending Time Apart

Is the California Gurl on her way to becoming a single one as well?

The rumor mill has been working in overdrive with speculation that things aren’t going as smoothly between Katy Perry and Russell Brand as we’ve been led to believe.

Uh-oh.

A source confirms to E! News that Katy and Russell have been having “problems” and that they’ve been spending “a lot of time apart,” including Christmas.

Sure enough, the “Teenage Dream” singer was spotted swimming sans her hubby in Hawaii over the holiday weekend while Russell was reportedly in England.

Our source adds that things began getting tense between the two in early December and that Katy has been “a mess” about it at times.

Here’s hoping the new year will be a better one for the entertaining couple.

Katy Perry: Not Pregnant, Just Likes Taco Bell

Although Katy Perry‘s said she’s considered having kids with husband Russell Brand, that doesn’t mean she’s currently with child.

The 27-year-old “California Gurl” is clearing up rumors that she’s carrying a baby, especially after an ensemble she wore to Sunday’s American Music Awards.

Perry told Hollyscoop “Hell no!” to the inquiry as to whether she’s expecting, and she added to The Insider that one is more likely to find a cheeseburger in her belly than a baby.

The singer broke down the pregnancy rumors thusly: “I like In-N-Out Burger and Taco Bell, and if you want to make that pregnant, that’s your problem.”

Besides, she says, “I still love drinking alcohol, so no, not yet.”

Which means Perry will be free to imbibe as she takes on “Saturday Night Live” on December 10 – the NBC sketch comedy show has lined up the pop star to host, with Robyn as the musical guest.
