There’s no denying than Jennifer Aniston is a beautiful woman with an amazing body and an envious lifestyle. But it comes to some amazement that the 42-year-old actress has been named Sexiest Woman of All Time. And not only that – she beat out her former love rival Angelina Jolie who has long been considered to be the sexier of the two. The Tomb Raider star only made tenth place in the poll.
Men’s Health readers voted the former Friends star to the top of the list above many other screen sirens before her who had more bombshell qualities.
The 42-year-old actress starred in her most sexual role this year in the movie Horrible Bosses where she played the flirtatious dentist with the filthy mouth. But Jennifer concedes that she hasn’t always been the seductive leading lady. ‘The least sexy character [I’ve played] was Jeannie Bueller on the TV version of Ferris Bueller’s Day Off,’ Jennifer said. But for her own choice of the sexiest woman of all time, Jennifer went old school and couldn’t pick between two women. ‘It’s a tie between Brigitte Bardot and Gloria Steinem,’ Jennifer told the magazine. ‘But if I had to choose one, I’d say Gloria because, well, she’s the full package. That’s sexy.’
Also rounding up the top five were Raquel Welch, Marilyn Monroe, Britney Spears and Madonna.
Ursula Andress came in at number six with Bettie Page, Pamela Anderson and Jane Fonda taking the next few spots. The magazine explained why they think the star was voted the top of the list. ‘Funny is sexy, and Jennifer Aniston is funny,’ the publication stated. ‘Her down-to-earth persona makes her seem attainable and anyone who’s seen her in ‘Office Space’ has to admit she makes even pieces of flair look good. ‘She rarely plays the airhead, and she seldom overplays a role; she’s funny in a quiet, refreshingly human way.’
Jennifer has one of the best bodies in Hollywood through regular work out sessions and a reported fanatical approach to her diet. But she has not been afraid of showing it off and has been pictured in Mexico in her bikini showing off her washboard abs on several occasions.
Jennifer also stripped down to nothing but a tie and a smile for a GQ spread in 2008 and her nude shoot for Smart Water in 2007. In fairness, Jennifer has been looking sexier since she started dating boyfriend Justin Theroux. The unlucky-in-love star seems to have finally found ‘the one’ and has had a glow about her over the past few months. Her choice of outfits also seem to have become more sultry as she becomes more confident with showing some skin at her red carpet events.
Since her much-publicised break up with Brad Pitt in 2005, Jennifer has dated John Meyer, Vince Vaughan, Paul Schulfor and Bradley Cooper amongst others. But her father, legendary Days of Our Lives actor John Aniston, has revealed that he thinks his daughter and Justin make a ‘wonderful couple’. Speaking about Theroux, 40, who has been dating Jennifer since May, John enthused: ‘He’s a charming young man.’
Justin and Jennifer met on the set of Wanderlust last year but weren’t romantically linked until May this year, shortly after Theroux had broken up with his girlfriend of 14-years Heidi Bivens. The couple have become inseparable and are currently living together splitting their time between Los Angeles and New York. The loved up pair are also said to be looking to splash out on a new lavish pad of their own in LA.
Jennifer revealed what sexy qualities she looks for in a guy apart from a great body.
‘Sexiest thing about a man – other than abs – is if he can make me laugh, has compassion, kindness, and an accurately sized ego,’ she revealed.
If the acting thing ever falls to the wayside, maybe Angelina Jolie will reconsider a former goal: Becoming a funeral director.
The 36-year-old Oscar winner told CBS’ “60 Minutes” last Sunday that she had a plan in place if she couldn’t find her way in Hollywood.
“It sounds like this very strange, eccentric, dark thing to do but in fact I lost my grandfather and was very upset with the funeral,” she said in the interview. “This whole idea of how somebody passes and how family deals with this passing and what death is should be addressed in a different way. If this whole acting thing didn’t work out, that was going to be my path.”
But Jolie did find herself on a darker path, personally. Before she became known as Hollywood’s globe-trotting, Oscar-winning mom of six, it was her wild side that drew attention (blood vials and Billy Bob Thornton, anyone?).
The star says that’s now all in the past…unless her partner Brad Pitt‘s around.
“I went through heavier, darker times and I survived them. I didn’t die young. So I am very lucky,” she reveals. “There are other artists and people that didn’t survive certain things…people can imagine that I did the most dangerous, and I did the worst,” says Jolie. “For many reasons, I shouldn’t be here.”
These days, the actress is more likely to be found toting around tots – or stepping behind the camera for directorial work, as she did with December’s “In the Land of Blood and Honey” – than engaging her wild side.
But there’s still one person who gets to see it.
“I’m still a bad girl,” Jolie admits. “It’s just in its place now. It belongs to Brad. Or it belongs to our adventures.
Angelina Jolie is spreading the word that she wants to scale back on the movie-making and focus on her six kids.
In an interview with The Financial Times, the 36-year-old star reveals that acting is starting to lose its luster.
“As Brad and I get older we’re going to do fewer films,” she said, according to The Wrap. “I’ve been working for a long time, he’s been working for a long time, we’ve had a nice run and don’t want to be doing this our whole lives… I don’t love it as much… I love being a mom.”
The actress and her partner Brad Pitt are parents to Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh and twins Vivienne and Knox.
Jolie explains that her loss of interest is due to motherhood and maturity: “I’m older and I know who I am, and I’m less interested in the character helping me answer something than in being able to answer it for myself, as a woman, as an adult, with my family.”
But she’s not leaving just yet – Jolie will be starring in the upcoming film “Cleopatra,” and her writing and directorial debut, “In the Land of Blood and Honey,” was picked up for a December U.S. release.
Angelina Jolie has some adventurous eaters on her hands.
“My boys love to eat crickets. It’s their favorite thing,” the 36-year-old actress says in a video shoot for Louis Vuitton‘s Core Values campaign, which was shot on location in Cambodia (the country where she adopted Maddox, now 9).
“When I first gave it to them . . . I wanted them not to be turned off by something that was of their culture. They ate them like Doritos, and they wouldn’t stop,” Jolie says of Maddox and Pax, 7. “They brought to-go boxes home and I had to actually ban the cricket eating at a certain point because I was afraid they were going to get sick from too many.”
Jolie herself has even indulged in the Southeast Asian countries delicacies. “They’re good. They’re like a potato chip.”
Two things the Oscar winner hasn’t tried? Tarantulas on a stick and spider soup. “It does seem like an odd thing to eat,” Jolie admits of the tarantula pop. “I don’t know if I can get around the fur, but you’ve got to try everything.”
Get ready for a royal wedding of another sort: After six years together (and six kids!), Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are planning a wedding set to take place within the next few months, three separate sources confirm in the new Us Weekly, out Wednesday.
The “I do’s” could take place at their newly renovated Chateau Miraval in Correns, France (conveniently featuring a 16th-century chapel) — but don’t expect a lavish bash in the manner of Pitt’s $1 million nuptials in 2000 to Jennifer Aniston.
This super-couple’s wedding “would be intimate and informal,” one insider says of the pair.
Although Jolie, 36, and Pitt, 47, have long resisted traditional marriage until it became legal for everyone — gay or straight — their kids may have changed their mind.
“The kids ask about marriage,” Pitt told USA Today in May of Maddox, 9, Pax, 7, Zahara, 6, Shiloh, 5, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 3. “It’s meaning more and more to them.”
