Kristen Stewart And Charlize Theron’s ‘Snow White And The Huntsman’

The “Twilight” saga will come to an end on the big screen in 2012, but Kristen Stewart may be tackling another franchise with her role in next year’s “Snow White and the Huntsman.”

The 21-year-old actress stars as the fairest of them all in the film, which sees Charlize Theron as the evil queen and “Thor’s” Chris Hemsworth as the huntsman. But instead of stretching a single plotline across three films, says producer Joe Roth, he sees it instead as three separate stories.

“It’s meant to be the first in a series of films,” he tells Entertainment Weekly. “This story will end, but there will be questions remaining for these three characters.”

Sheen Roast To Air Same Day As Kutcher’s ‘Men’ Debut

Charlie Sheen and his “Two and a Half Men” replacement, Ashton Kutcher, will have a TV face-off of sorts come fall.

Comedy Central’s “Roast of Charlie Sheen” is set to air the same day as “Men’s” ninth season premiere, which marks Kutcher’s series debut.

However, viewers will have some time to recoup between the CBS sitcom and the primetime roasting as they’ll air an hour apart.

“Charlie has assured us that nothing will be off limits in this Roast … which scares even us,” said Kent Alterman, head of original programming and production at Comedy Central.

The roast will tape in Los Angeles, California, on September 10, according to the network.

Two and a Half Men” and the “Comedy Central Roast of Charlie Sheen” will air on Monday, September 19 at 9 p.m. EST and 10 p.m. EST, respectively.

Adrianne Palicki and ‘The Rock’ join ‘G.I. Joe 2’

There is life after “Wonder Woman.”

Adrianne Palicki, who starred as the title character in the rejected NBC pilot about the famous superheroine, has joined the cast of the sequel “G.I. Joe: Cobra Strikes.”

Reports that Palicki will play classic “G.I. Joe” character Lady Jaye, in a cast that includes returning “G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra” actors Channing Tatum and Ray Park.

Another high profile cast member, playing the character of Roadblock (best known in the 1980s animated series for speaking in rhymes), is Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, who has been tweeting to his fans about training for the role on a farm: “96 degrees. Just heard the horses say ‘what the f*** is wrong w you. Get inside.'”

Bruce Willis is also being eyed for the role of original “Joe,” Joe Colton, in the sequel, according to reports.

Not everyone will be returning from the original film. Rachel Nichols tweeted back in March that she will not be returning, apparently along with Dennis Quaid and Marlon Wayans. Even Joseph Gordon-Levitt – Cobra Commander himself – said he will not be returning (he is currently at work on another sequel, “The Dark Knight Rises”).

Casey Anthony vs. O.J. Simpson: Which Not Guilty Verdict Was More Shocking?

During the 35-day trial, concluding with 10-plus hours of deliberations, rampant speculation mounted that the Florida mother Casey Anthony accused of killing her 2-year-old daughter Caylee would indeed be convicted of first-degree murder – and perhaps even to face the death penalty.

But on Tuesday afternoon, the jury delivered a not guilty verdict as millions watched on TV and online.

The surprising decision was reminiscent of another acquittal in a high-profile murder case: that of O.J. Simpson.

In 1995, jurors deliberated for about four hours before returning a famously surprising not guilty verdict in the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman.

Justin Timberlake May Revive MySpace With Talent Competition

Justin Timberlake‘s longtime manager Johnny Wright has said that the singer is considering a talent contest as one way of reviving MySpace. Timberlake took an ownership stake in the declining social media site after the advertising network Specific Media bought the company for $35 million from News Corp last week.

While Wright did not provide specifics about Timberlake’s plans, he told the Associated Press that the singer is still brainstorming ways of renewing interest in the MySpace brand. “We definitely want to bring the industry back to Myspace to really look at the talented people that have put their faces there,” Wright said. Timberlake and Specific Media have already stated that one of their goals in relaunching MySpace would be to refocus the brand on new and emerging artists.

Timberlake and the new management of MySpace are expected to reveal their plans for the site’s future at a press conference to be held on August 17th.

Casey Anthony: Not Guilty!

Casey Anthony was acquitted Tuesday of first-degree murder and the other most serious charges against her in the 2008 death of her 2-year-old daughter.

But the jury convicted her on four misdemeanor counts of providing false information to law enforcement officers.

As the verdict was read, Casey Anthony cried from her seat in the courtroom, breathing deeply as she looked forward. She then hugged her defense attorney Jose Baez and other members of her defense team.

Her father, George Anthony, meanwhile, showed no visible reaction from his seat in the back of the courtroom.

Orange County Chief Judge Belvin Perry Jr. set sentencing at 9 a.m. Thursday for Casey Anthony. She faces up to a year in jail on each of the charges she lied to police.

“There are no winners in this case,” Baez told the media afterward. “Caylee has passed on far, far too soon.” He said his motivation for the last three years has been seeking justice for Caylee as well as Casey Anthony.

Was Prince Albert’s Wedding Kiss A Little… Awkward?

Was it just us or was something amiss when Monaco’s Prince Albert and his new bride Charlene Wittstock shared a kiss at both the religious and civil ceremonies this past weekend?

Maybe it was nerves, the rampant rumors she tried to bolt before the wedding, or perhaps Wittstock was too keenly aware that millions would watch her get married to one of the world’s most notorious bachelors. Either way, it seems that we’re not the only ones buzzing about the shy smooch.
