Birthday Twins: Gwyneth Paltrow and Lil Wayne

Gwyneth Paltrow and Lil Wayne share a birthday today, which made us wonder what else these two stars have in common.

A decade apart – Paltrow blows out 39 candles today, while Weezy celebrates 29 years – this is a musically talented pair. Weezy’s made a successful career in the industry, and Paltrow sings – and occasionally raps – whenever possible.

Both know how to throw a party (dinner, or otherwise) and we’d imagine that if they ever combined their fetes, it’s basically a given Beyonce – Paltrow’s bestie, who Wayne’s also worked with – and maybe even Madonna would be in attendance. (Wayne is featured on Madonna’s 2009 song, “Revolver,” and Gwyn and Madge pal around, though they may have had a falling out. “Through thick and thin she’s a constant in my life,” Paltrow told V Magazine of Madonna in 2008.)

The one question would be if it would be at her beach house or his: Lil Wayne owns a $14 million La Gorce Island home in Miami Beach, Florida (which he’s listed for sale). Naturally, Gwynnie also has a beach mansion. She and husband Chris Martin purchased their Hamptons, Long Island home for $5.4 million in 2006.

And if they ever ran out of things to talk about, Wayne and Gwyneth could commiserate about how the media just doesn’t understand their fashion choices. The actress was skewered by many for her Emmys dress this year, and Weezy will likely never live down those animal print pants he wore to the VMAs – that presumed pair of jeggings even has its own Twitter account now.

Last but not least – they’ve both entered the 21st century, as Paltrow would put it.

“Thank you for all of my happy birthday wishes, just read so many…you guys make my life great,” Paltrow tweeted Tuesday. Wayne chimed in on Twitter, “Just kame out the booth and noticed it was my birthday…yeeeeeeeaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh!now bak to work,” and then, we’re guessing after some of that work was done, “Here’s to another year! Getting older but better with time. Luv!”
