The Black Mamba Back In Manila!

Kobe “Black Mamba” Bryant is back in the country to once again to encourage the Filipino youth to realize their dreams through sports.

Bryant arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Tuesday aboard a private jet as he kicked off his five-city Nike Asian tour.

This is Kobe’s third visit to the Philippines as Nike’s brand ambassador. Manila is his first stop before moving on to Seoul and various cities in China.

Taking inspiration from Kobe’s passion and dedication, the Nike tour is designed to lead young hoopsters down the path to greatness.

At 3 p.m. Wednesday, Kobe goes to the Nike Park at The Fort, and then to the main event at the Araneta Coliseum at 5 p.m.

Players from the Nike-sponsored FEU Tamaraws, DLSU Green Archers, ADMU Blue Eagles, and Smart Gilas Pilipinas are expected to be at the Araneta for a demonstration game to be joined by Kobe.

Kobe will also teach players how to better improve their skills.

Mila Kunis To Attend Marine Corps. Ball With Sgt. Scott Moore

Mila Kunis will be serving her country this November, but instead of camouflage fatigues, she’ll be dressed up in a ball gown.

Sgt. Scott Moore, of the 3rd Battalion 2nd Marines in Musa Qala, Afghanistan, posted a video to YouTube last week asking the “Friends with Benefits” star to accompany him to the Marine Corps. Ball on November 18th in Greenville, North Carolina. It may have seemed a longshot at first, but thanks to the power of the internet, he now has a very famous date.

Fox News asked Kunis, who was with co-star Justin Timberlake at the time, if she had seen the video, and whether she’d attend the ball.

Timberlake, ever the ladies man, helped make it happen.

“Have you seen this? Have you heard about this? You need to do it for your country,” he told her. And even though Timberlake said he wouldn’t come along, Kunis confirmed that she’d be attending.

“I’ll do it,” she said, setting up what will most definitely be the flashiest couple in North Carolina this November.

The Adventures Of Tintin Teaser Trailer Released

Take a look at the gorgeous new teaser trailer for The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn, coming to cinemas this December. Directed by Steven Spielberg, produced by Peter Jackson, written by Stephen Moffat, Edgar Wright and Joe Cornish and chock-full of geek faves in the acting/mo-cap department — Andy Serkis, Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Cary Elwes and Daniel Craig to name a few — it’s already shaping up to be a great treat for the holidays.

The animation in the trailer looks amazing — performance capture has come a long way since Tom Hanks’s multiple roles in The Polar Express, and it enables Pegg and Frost to play Thompson and Thomson, even though they don’t exactly look like each other! The ship sailing through the sea/sand dunes is jaw-droppingly good, and there’s plenty of action in the two minutes and twenty seconds. Moffat and Wright have taken ideas from four of Hergé’s storylines (“The Crab with the Golden Claws,” “The Secret of the Unicorn” and “Red Rackham’s Treasure”) and merged them into one screenplay — let’s hope that all of these great elements can deliver in the final film.
